God, Cosmology & the Problem of EVIL…

It’s funny how we use the term “awake” to describe the state of coming to recognize the reality of the evil agendas in this world. Recognize various conspiracies. The New Word Order agenda. The nefarious Elites. The Illuminati. The Satanic control system…

But in truth, such realizations are not the benchmark of awakening.

Because embedded within the denunciation of all of those agendas, is the underlying assumption that there IS such a thing as Evil in the first place. That there is such a thing as objective moral transgression. A true violation, of humanity.

And this is what so many people do not go so far as to ponder.

They learn about the powers that should not be, they learn about the fraud that is at the heart of our economic system, the corruption within our so-called democracies, the poisoning that is going on with our food supplies, our water sources, even the air we breathe…

They get angry upon learning that NASA are lying to everyone, along with every other space agency. Faking an entire history of moon landings and Hubble photos, an entire Copernican/Newtonian universe that doesn’t even exist.

They learn about the reality of dark Occult rituals. Human sacrifice. Pedophile rings. All being done with disturbing regularity, and under the protection of an infiltrated legal system, military, and law enforcement.

The reaction to learning about such unsettling realities is almost unanimously the same, no matter who it is.

The conscience SCREAMS in disgust. Outrage. Indignation…

These things are that which simply should not be.

But therein lies the question, that so many of these allegedly “awake” men and women, suddenly do everything in their power to evade, to ignore, to deflect…
The question is simply that of, WHY… Why are these things undeniably evil…?
What DEFINES evil..? What defines good……?

While our consciences collectively scream at the crimes against humanity being done by those in positions of wealth and power, when it comes to the matter of our own moral situation, suddenly the screams dull to a faint whisper. We even try to silence it altogether, if we can…

And this drive to ignore the evil in our own hearts is really what lies behind ALL the Deception going on in the world today. ALL the conspiracy. All the wars. ALL the lying, the stealing, the raping, the destruction.

But of course, the superficially awake do not accept this. They refuse to entertain the possibility that those despised Elites are ultimately at the end of the day, no different than themselves, ensnared by the same appetites, the same bondage, the same delusions…

And the delusions really only take a few different basic forms, and those few are themselves only variations of the same singular thing, at the end of the day.
Some will insist, “There is no God. There is only this vast universe. Exploded from nothing. Self-creating and self-organizing over billions of years.”
Only matter + energy + time + chance. And nothing more.

And as such they believe they excused themselves from the odious notion of being subject to some psychotic Deity that would dare impose any moral parameters upon their lives. They imagine themselves to be “free”, as they fly at 1000’s of miles per hour throughout the vast emptiness of an ever-evolving cosmos.
But are they are not free. Not at all. For in reducing everything to the mechanistic determinism of Scientific materialism, freedom comes at the cost of being free of ANY meaning, any morality, any purpose…

In the cold, impersonal universe of Cosmic Evolution, there is no Design. No plan. No blueprint. No expectation. Life cannot even be regarded as having any more value or significance than non-life. All is nothing more than matter and energy, molecules and galaxies, colliding and repelling, forming and dissolving, organizing and dispersing. Endlessly. And in such a cold universe, there is no way to call ANYTHING, “evil”. No basis upon which to object to anything at all. Because in such a universe, the desecration of a child is just another temporary random mechanical combination of matter and energy, no more or no less meaningful than a wave crashing on the shore, or a branch falling from a tree. It is a meaningless, hopeless, mechanistic worldview, that ultimately renders the individual, and humanity as a whole, completely worthless…

But somehow… Despite all of us having been taught that this is our reality through public schooling and academia and the media, we all press on in defiance of such a conclusion. We all persist, as though we are not worthless, as though we do have meaning, and purpose, and as if there is some basis for right and wrong, despite the complete lack of any basis for such a thing being presented in the construct of Scientific materialism…

And so that inner need for worth, for meaning, for purpose, drives us on, refusing to die, and so many people do eventually start to reject the emptiness of materialistic Evolution, and instead, turn to the seemingly warmer and more meaning-filled paradigm of spiritual evolution…

Polytheism, pantheism, pan-entheism, the belief in some form of “cosmic consciousness”, suddenly these ancient mystical concepts become increasingly appealing when compared to the nihilism inherent to scientific determinism.
If somehow there is divinity that is embedded within each and every one of us, where every person is some sort of fractalized manifestation of the broader cosmic consciousness, some individualized expression of this greater Source that some people refer to as “God”, then the void of meaning is thought to be filled. The dilemma of purpose is believed to finally solved.

Everyone is thought to be simply on this path of rediscovering the inherent divinity within.

We are said to be manifestations of the divine universal consciousness, and the universe is simultaneously a manifestation of our own consciousness. Everything is connected. Everything is one. Everything is divine. Everything is consciousness.
But there is still that pesky little problem, of Evil…

Because just as when the entire cosmos is said to be an impersonal materialistic accident, the deification of everything renders it all ultimately just as meaningless, and hopeless, and empty as when there is no deity at all.

Just as when you can’t say that any given mechanistic process is anymore objectively good or evil than any another, how can you actually argue that any specific manifestation of the divine consciousness is any more objectively good or evil than any other…….???

When you accept that the physical world is simply an illusion, or a manifestation of consciousness, the “divine dance”, or however you wish to describe it, then indeed, you have removed that pesky dogmatic notion of Sin that the Bible keeps pointing to, but you have removed it completely…

Not just from intruding upon your own life, but from any circumstance. Anywhere…
You then have no basis to say of anyone, or any situation, “That should not be”. “You should not do this”. “This should be stopped”… Because it’s all just part of the “dance”. It’s all just a dream. It’s all just a part of the “cosmic simulation”. It’s all just code. It’s all just information manifesting as action and substance, and information is morally sterile. There is no evil in the world to bother speaking out against, because everything going on the world is a manifestation of the divine.

There are no moral Laws to violate, because everything is part of the divine. Everything is “moral”. So then nothing is.

There is nothing left by which you can truly say that is good to feed a child, and evil to kill a child. There is no longer such a thing as moral choice. No external, objective rule by which anything can ultimately said to be right or wrong, no measure of action that can truly be called “evil”.

And so while so many people talk about their “awakening”, about how they’ve come to understand the “matrix” that has been woven around us, and they latch on to ideas such a simulation theory, because they are drawn to the idea of a reality being something that we can eventually learn to manipulate and control, just like a computer simulation, they don’t realize that by embracing such beliefs, and rejecting the plain and simple teaching found in the Bible, regarding the reality of Sin, and the need for forgiveness and Salvation, they have actually chose the most hellish form of self-imprisonment imaginable…

Because by deifying themselves, instead of the external, Eternal, self-existent Creator, by embracing the “divinity within”, they have actually, unknowingly, chosen to pursue a world in which anything goes.

And it’s incredible to me, how so many people in the “Truth movement” can be so horrified in their reactions, when they learn about young innocent children, even infants, being tortured and raped and sacrified as a part of all these ongoing Illuminati rituals, but then they turn around and say “How dare you say to me that there is a God, who has defined what is good, and what is evil!”

“How dare you peddle your suffocating religion!”

“How dare you suggest that people are fallen and sinful, and not simply rediscovering their own divinity!”

“Don’t you understand that the Elites are simply trying to keep us from discovering the ancient Occult wisdom that they have used against us…???”

This is what people say… This is what they actually believe.

People get bent out of shape when you start talking about heaven and hell… Don’t talk about hell. That’s painting God as some sadistic monster who wants to torture people…

But we can turn and look and hear MILLIONS of people, right now, alive on this earth, who we tell you TO YOUR FACE that it is sadistic to believe that God has any right to define what is good or evil at all…

No objective guidelines! No external boundaries. NO! That is unacceptable…
They want to decide for themselves what is good, and what is evil…

And so you explain to me, how that is not in itself people choosing a framework, that is ultimately nothing other than a recipe for hell…(?)

Being “awake” does not simply mean you wake up to the reality of things like false flag attacks, or the Rothschilds and the Rockefellers, or the push for a one-world government, etc… You are still NOT awake until you wake up to the reality of Sin in your own heart. You are not awake until recognize that we react to evil in the world, because it IS objectively Evil, that it IS a true transgression, against a real moral Law that was put in place by a REAL God.

If you deny a real, external, personal God, who alone has the Authority to dictate the different between Righteousness and Evil, between Light and Darkness, then you have denied any legitimate basis to think anything is wrong at all, with anyone, anywhere. Period.

Evil is real, because Sin is real, just as Jesus says it is. But the most beautiful Truth of all, is that reality of Jesus Christ, and what He accomplished at the cross, supercedes the guilt that we all carry. We can be forgiven. We can have new Life. We can have hope. We can have peace, even while the rest of the world continues falling to pieces, as it chases it’s delusion of creating some type of humanist utopia where it defines morality for itself, and thus plunges itself deeper and deeper into a complete moral wasteland. A true hell on earth…

Your own conscience testifies to the fact that good and evil are objective realities, and not subjective projections. I implore anyone listening to this who has thus far written off the Bible and the person of Jesus, to stop and ponder this, and ask yourself why this is so….

Perspectives and Paradigms…

Instead of just doing another post about the more technical/scientific questions surrounding the Flat Earth issue, I wanted to step back for a second and reflect on a few of the more philosophical aspects which I’ve come to notice since really digging into it all.

I think one of the oddest things for me to realize, has been that despite how extreme and ridiculously counter-consensus the idea of the Earth being flat might be to most, in the end, regardless of whether the Earth is a ball or a plane, it actually has very little pragmatic effect on my broader “worldview” (oh look, a pun!).

What I mean is, I already believed that there was a massive international conspiracy and “secret government” of Luciferians. I already believed Satan is manipulating this human pyramid power structure in order to ultimately establish his own throne over the entire world. I already believed that this agenda will ultimately be defeated at the coming of Jesus on the clouds. I already believed that man trying to save himself, whether via transhumanism, or the colonization of outer space, or merging with A.I., or joining in with the fallen angels, etc., was all destined to fail. I already believed that the moon landings were fake, for whatever reason. I already believed that there were no “ancient aliens”, but instead fallen Watchers, and that there will not be any future “alien saviors” either, but perhaps a UFO disclosure/deception on a grand scale. I could go on and on, but the point is, that in either a globe or flat earth model, nothing of major significance really changes. The Enemy’s lies and propaganda are still what they are, and the only true means of escape is still what (or Who) it is…

Three+point+perspective+drawing+grid+worms+eye+viewSo I suppose in that sense, it makes it quite unimposing, to ask these kinds of bizarre questions, and listen to arguments that many people would automatically dismiss and ignore as absurd, because ultimately, my paradigm is not threatened in the slightest either way. I really have no “dog in the fight” on this one. There is no confirmation bias to avoid. I have lived for many years now believing the Earth was a globe, and still quite readily was able to believe in the Creator as is revealed in the Bible, as do so many others.

Yet, this segues to another element of the Flat Earth discussion which I have found to be both surprising and very fascinating. Amongst so many of the various “leaders” of this discussion, people writing about it and making videos etc., there is really a very large percentage who openly articulate their rejection of the Evolutionary paradigm we have all been taught as “scientific fact” our whole lives. Now, many of these folks have some degree of belief in the Bible so this would not be all that unusual, but I would have to say that an even larger proportion do not, and to me that is very interesting. Call it more of a “Deism”, or a mysticism, or whatever other brand of “spirituality”, it is noticeably present. In a way, it seems to confirm a lot of observations that many have made, about a broader shift going on in the current generation, which indeed is rejecting the scientific materialism of Modernism, and also the relativistic ambivalence of Post-Modernism, and actually returning to the mythology and spirituality of an earlier epoch.

So indeed, I find it very telling that within this “Flat Earth community”, you do find a good number of people pointing back to Genesis and the Bible, and talking about the “firmament” and the stars in Revelation and so on, but then you also find guys like Eric Dubay, who has tons of fantastic material on the physical evidence for the Earth being a plane, but then in terms of his spiritual message he’ll go from blasting Dawkins and the hopeless message of a cold Evolutionary universe on the one hand, to blasting Christianity and claiming that the Bible is simply mythologized paganism and not meant to be treated literally (turns out he’s a big Tsarion fan, so that makes sense…)

staircase-perspective-george-oze

But I have to say, I do find it quite amusing, the more I learn about the various figures who have risen to prominence within the Flat Earth “movement”, and watched as accusations of “SHILL!!!” are being thrown back and forth, by everyone, against virtually everyone else who doesn’t hold the exact same flat earth model, or conspiratorial bent, as they do. You would think that the fact that all these people are in agreement on the same basic ideas which the rest of the populace rejects and ridicules with such fervor would serve to create a much stronger climate of unity and open discussion, but, alas, I suppose the example of the Protestant Reformation serves to remind us of how quickly and easily factions and dissensions can arise, once the prevailing monolithic authority on Truth is finally broken away from…

Speaking of this notion of a “Flat Earth movement”, this is another interesting piece to encounter, the fact that so many people are quite convinced that the truth of the Earth being flat is really and truly “blowing wide open”, and that it could even perhaps be this revolutionary linchpin of information which compels the citizenry of the world to finally break free from the shackles of the satanic Elite. I would have to say that I am highly doubtful of this notion, though at the same time I can understand why people could imagine such a thing. Six months ago, there was not a whole lot of buzz about the Flat Earth goin on within the “Truth Movement” (a corny term I know, but for lack of a better one…) But largely due to Mr. Mark Seargent and his “Flat Earth Clues” videos, and copious amounts of high-profile interviews, it has really sparked a wildfire. Youtube has probably quadrupled the number of flat earth videos in the last several months, and so in a very real sense this sudden increase of interest in a topic, especially one that has so long been held to be taboo and idiotic, is most remarkable. Many are debating whether it is truly an organic, naturally-occurring internet phenomenon, or some kind of disinfo psy-op. People are either becoming intrigued themselves by the idea and the questions being posed, or totally offended and freaking out and going into full-on “debunk mode”.

“This is going to make the whole Truth Movement look completely asinine!”, cry the debunkers. And again, I get it. That’s sort of the whole thing about perspectives on Truth, and whether or not a particular proposition challenges or threatens our currently held paradigm. It’s like if you stumble across a mama bear with her cubs while hiking through the woods. In about a second or two, she’s going to decide if your intrusion poses a threat to her babies, and if it does, then look out! Claws and teeth…

But maybe that’s part of why I am shockingly not even that weirded out by taking a serious look at something like the Flat Earth, because honestly, I’ve been living with being regarded as “asinine” by teachers, peers, random strangers, for most of my life already, because I reject the dogma which asserts that after billions and billions of years, everything we see formed itself out nothing. The claws of ridicule and teeth of intimidation on behalf the “scientific establishment” are nothing new around here. “What? You believe the Bible and take it literally? Don’t you know anything about SCIENCE!?!?” I mean, good grief, tell me one I haven’t heard…

Perspective2Anyways. It is the phenomenon of our human instinct to protect the paradigms that appeal to us most which prompts me to doubt that the broader swath of humanity would actually even go as far as to openly question if we really could have ALL been lied to about something so big, for so long. That hurdle alone is the main reason why the majority cannot even allow themselves to question something as comparatively simple as 9/11. They simply cannot, or will not, accept the notion of a lie being that BIG. It’s crazy to think that it’s really that easy, but it is. Just make the lie big enough, and the collective pride of humanity balks at the suggestion that so many of us could be so easily fooled. This, combined with the fact that truth is most often times much more unsettling and scary than the fairy tale everyone is accustomed to believing, makes for a rather impenetrable psychological barrier to an opposing narrative…

This is a large reason why I’m not holding my breath about the Flat Earth “revolutionizing” anything. Neither to I expect any sort of “mass awakening” in regards to the bogus War on Terror, or the reality of cloaked Eugenics programs invading every corner of our lives, or whatever else. It’s not for lack of evidence, simply lack of willingness to find the truth, no matter how unpleasant it is, or how much ridicule one might experience for seeking it. A lot of people who are taking the Flat Earth seriously have commented that if is true, then indeed it would constitute the greatest Conspiracy in the history of conspiracies, and I too have thought this very same thing.

However, it has occurred to me recently that, as a follower of Jesus, and believer in the Holy Scriptures, and one who puts my Hope in the return of the One True King, I have had to stop and recognize that no, not even THAT would be the “mother of all conspiracies”. There is yet one more that is greater still. A lie regarding the nature of the created world, the cosmos, everything around us, is massive indeed, but a lie regarding the Creator of the Creation, is even bigger, and of far greater Untitled-52importance. It is actually a lie that any individual can choose for themselves to believe/disbelieve, based on the inclinations of our wayward, sinful natures, rejecting whatever evidence to the contrary that surrounds us. The rebellious heart steers it’s course, and the head follows.

We see only that which we are willing to see, and this holds true for the natural world, the existence of God, and the condition or our inner being. That is where perspective starts, where true clarity begins. Once you stop defending, stop pretending, stop insisting on propping up the walls of the fictitious kingdom of our own godhood, both individually and as a “species”, this is when our vision really starts to come into focus, and the fantastic, Created reality all around begins to fully unfold…

The Spiraling Fingerprints of God…

Yesterday I read such an exhilarating post by Insanity Bytes: Synchronicity is Such a Lovely Thing, where she included the following video:

As usual, she has such a marvelous way of parsing out the contemplative quirks surrounding the question of whether or not things that seem connected truly are, or if we’re just seeing them because we want to see them. Like her, I have long held a deep yet largely inexplicable affinity for spirals, for the contour of a cresting wave, so much so that many years ago I got a tattoo of a design I made based off an abstract ocean wave, in a spiraling sort ofspiraltattoo presentation, with three “spokes” also meant to represent the Trinity. Of course, most people don’t see a wave until I explain the design’s intention, they usually ask if it’s supposed to be a volleyball or something. Grrr. Suffice to say, such interactions are largely why I decided to stop getting tattoos…

But the Fibonacci spiral/sequence is still something that truly fascinates me, and the more I learn about it and realize just how prevalent it is throughout Creation, the more I think I appreciate just how rich with meaning and symbolism it actually is.

spiral1

To me, it really speaks to the reality of how God has no beginning, and no end. He is the “Alpha and the Omega”, because He is outside of everything, and gives everything it’s beginning and end, the Definer of all that is. The spiral goes ever outward, and ever inward, and I think this also speaks beyond just the dimensions of time, but space as well, whereby God is not confined with the macro or the micro. He holds the Universe in the palm of His hand, yet knows what teeny tiny quarks and every other sub-sub-sub atomic particles look like, and are doing…

When I was in art school, we learned about the “Golden Ratio”, and how much of good layout/design adhered to the basic precepts of this concept discovered way back in ancient times. However you may choose to explain it, it has been long accepted that we as human beings have a discernable esthetic preference towards that which visually falls in line with this particular dimensional ratio. Quite similar to this concept is what is known as the “principle of thirds”, whereby people tend to find a picture or visual subject more pleasing and “balanced” if the main focal points lie upon divisions of thirds within the frame. It’s a sort of “asymmetrical symmetry”, but nevertheless, we seem to be hardwired with it…

spiral2

Beyond just the symbolic and esthetic considerations, the mathematical “code” of the Fibonacci sequence is itself enough to seriously confound the notion that Evolution and natural selection could have accidentally been responsible for the appearance of this specific formula appearing throughout the natural world, both in biological and non-biological examples, time, and time, and time again…

It is a calling card for “Intelligent Design” if ever there was one, and we see it every time we look at a snail in the garden or a photo of the Milky Way galaxy. This “code”/sequence/image, which so perfectly depicts the full spectrum of the micro to the macro, and back again, and everything in between, can also itself be found to be embedded in nature from the micro to the macro scale. How perfectly poetic…

spiral3

In the end I find it such a refreshing and invigorating reminder, especially in light of so much of what one inevitably comes across when researching the innumerous strains of the anti-Christ influence upon this fallen world. At times it can almost make one feel as though things like symbolism and visually-encoded communication with many layers of meaning and such are all part and parcel to the realm of the esoteric and the Occult. In reality, the devil only knows how to steal and corrupt the ideas of the True Creator, in order to use them for his purposes of deception and destruction, and his twisted use of God’s embedded symbolism in nature is no different. There was even a time where in the midst of first learning about certain aspects of witchcraft and secret societies, etc., and how their related symbolism so saturates the cultural palate all around us with most of us completely unawares, I actually began to think that a symbol like a spiral was inherently evil and tied to the demonic. It is, after all, used a fair amount in many shamanic and magikal traditions to represent various occult concepts. But then again, the more you learn about such dark things, the more you start to realize that there are really very few things from God’s Creation that Satan has not taken and usurped in some way or another as a symbol or sigil or form of idolatry in his pantheon of Luciferian roads to ruin.

spiral4

The sun, moon, and stars, the male and female genders, human sexuality, trees and plants and all sorts of animals, architectural concepts, the constellations, you name it… All have been used by the Enemy to supposedly represent some false teaching, or false god, or false whatever. But they were all Created by the Alpha and the Omega FIRST, and as He was the first one to conceive of them all, (and imbue so much of it with embedded symbols like that of the spiral….), He will also get the Final say when it comes to redeeming everything back to it’s original and true significance, restoring all of Creation back to the place where it is recognized by everyone as showing how “God’s invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature” are clearly seen…

God of Love, or Death..?

exodus-scene-6Recently I was invited to chime in on a post on the question of miracles and the Bible. My main response included a fairly long list of the examples of humanly inexplicable miracles found in both the Old and New Testaments. The author responded with what I thought was a very thought-provoking comment, which after thinking about it I decided probably deserved further exploration. He says:

1.) Plagues to kill thousands of people
2.) Parting the Red Sea to drown thousands of people
3.) disintegrate a city’s massive stone walls using only trumpets to kill every living thing in it
4.) make the sun stand still in the sky and prolong the day so they can kill more people
5.) make earthquakes happen, so that they rip the earth into a chasm which swallows up our enemies
6.) trigger massive meteor showers that will utterly destroy entire cities

These wouldn’t be miracles from a God that I could ever consider worshiping.

You are entitled to your opinion but you might want to drop the 6 examples above when you are out witnessing for Jesus.

This is an interesting question… Would it really be better to drop examples like those above when telling people about Jesus? Should we just focus on Jesus’ teachings on “loving our neighbor” etc., and try to whitewash the Bible as best we can? I certainly grew up being familiar with enough church circles who more or less attempted to do this very thing, in one way or another. Downplay the “scary” God of the Old Testament, all the wars, death, “weird stuff”, and just try to boil it all down to as simplistic an idea as possible in order to coax someone into saying the “sinner’s prayer”. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not disparaging people from making simple prayers of repentance in faith. What I’m saying is simply that all of that stuff IS in there, and like it or not, you have to face it. Atheists are quite fond of bringing up what they believe are incredibly damning examples of this “genocidal God” who they regard as being oh so terribly cruel and unfair in causing the deaths of so many people, in so many ways…

The thing is, the Bible is essentially an epic war story. From beginning to end, it outlines the story of Creation, the Fall, and Redemption, in the context of a great spiritual battle between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Darkness.

warinheavenThe many examples of people being killed by war or plague in the Old Testament simply cannot be rightly understood outside of this broader spiritual context. People such as the Babylonians, the Assyrians, the Egyptians, the Canaanites, the Philistines, the Greeks, the Romans, etc., etc., all of these peoples/nations were living under the worship and “covering” of their various pantheons of pagan gods, and under the influence of their demonic spiritual “princes” were constantly in opposition to the nation which God had set aside for Himself. The spiritual and physical battle lines can be understood to be very much intertwined when looked at from this perspective, and so it must be emphasized that nowhere in the Bible do we ever see God simply deciding to go wipe out some populace somewhere who were minding their own business, simply because God was like some bored sadistic child wanting to entertain himself by burning ants with a magnifying glass.

According to the Bible, the conflict did not originate in the Garden of Eden, but in the realm of heaven, involving an angelic individual named Lucifer who became proud and sought to take the Throne of the Almighty for himself. Whether we like it or not, all of humanity has been thrust into the epicenter of this cosmic battle, and ultimately every single one of us must choose which kingdom’s agenda we will serve. There is no “opting out”. No neutral parties in this war.

Like I said, many objections to the God of the Bible involve these questions of how a loving God could possibly kill humans who people who have rebelled against Him or the people He chose to implement his purposes. This has honestly never been much of a philosophical thorn in my side. It just hasn’t. Such arguments really couldn’t even be made in the first place if an omnipotent, omniscient God was actually as petulant and tyrannical as is being suggested, because you be fried by a lightning bolt the second you were about to open your mouth to criticize him.

Instead, I admit I have struggled FAR more with the simple question of why God would allow a majestic, angelic being such as Lucifer to Fall from Heaven and then wreak havoc upon the human race in the first place. My own human faculties would seem to think that it would’ve saved us all so much pain and heartache if he had just tossed Lucy into the pit or the lake of fire right from the start and just gotten it over with! Wouldn’t that have been so much more logical God, and saved us all so much hassle…?? Jesus wouldn’t have had to die, no need for a Flood, or a “Passover Lamb”, or Armageddon, or any of it. We’d all still be blissful nudists drinking fruit smoothies in the Garden, right?

But of course, that’s not what God elected to do, and instead He allowed the serpent to wind his way in there, and kick off this whole war, which someday will finally end when the “Seed of the Woman” destroys the “Seed of the Serpent”. The God of the Bible allows lots of seemingly unnecessary evil to persist longer than we would think makes sense, not only with Satan in the Garden, but with the Watchers who came down on Mt. Hermon, who are then later not destroyed, but instead imprisoned in a place called the Pit, or the “Abyss”, held in chains until a time in the future when they will once again be let out.
the-titans-were-locked-in-tartarus-although-tartarus-was-in-the-underworld-in-the-myths-it-was-a-mountain-in-the-movie
Again, to me this is one of those things that I must simply confess I don’t understand the full reasoning behind God’s decisions, but I simply have to trust it. God has allowed the Kingdom of Darkness to have dominion over this world, up until a point in the (near) future when the entire epic of world history will culminate in a very intensely climactic conclusion. In that time, there will once again be some seriously “Old-Testament-style” plagues and distributions of mass-death, yet just as it was in the days of Old Testament, it will not be something that anyone is left without a means of escaping…

In the modern political climate of the “war on terror”, we constantly hear about this idea of “winning hearts and minds”, and this is exactly what the Bible declares this epic War of the Kingdoms is ultimately all about. The Winner of this War was decided 2,000 years ago, when He laid down His own life and took it up again. We all have now have this pathway open to us, if we are but willing to lay down our own lives, in order to take them back up again. This is a battle that is ultimately fought, and won, by letting go. Letting go of your own little crown, your own little self-determined right to rule over your own life, your own definition of “morality”, your own ability to shape and harden your own conscience as it suits you. That is essentially the manifesto of the Fallen Cherub himself, the one who entices humanity into questioning God’s goodness, God’s wisdom, God’s love. Satan is the true god of Death, not Yeshua.

Those who were killed in the body by the God of Israel in the Old Testament had seared their consciences in just such a way, and chose to follow the flesh-gratifying enticements of their false gods, instead of bowing their knee to the true God who demonstrated His own superior might and majesty. We all ultimately face this same judgment ourselves, before the Throne, whether we die a violent death or of old age safely in our beds. The War is already won, but you must pick a side, and you will ultimately choose between the God of Perfect Love or the god of Death…
