My Apologies. Turns Out I’m Just A Stupid Victim of Russian Propaganda…

I have to admit it. I found the video below VERY upsetting. I know it really shouldn’t be at all shocking. I should be of course expecting this kind of asinine rhetoric coming from Washington by now. I should be getting used to it. But this just, argggg…. Actually listening to these buffoons denigrate people in this way, actually comparing “conspiracy bloggers” to ISIS, and then linking it all to RT, was just almost more than I could bear.

Thanks to “Tyler Durden” at Zerohedge for bringing this painful piece of Congressional idiocy to my attention.

But ok, I’ll lower myself to attempt to provide a coherent response to this blatant fear-mongering garbage.

Overall it is of course nothing but more of the same ploy that has been developing over the last year and a half or so. Around the time of the Sochi Winter Olympics, or not long before, the demonization of Russia noticeably exploded in Western media. (Remember stories of “roaming wild dogs” and improperly installed toilets and Putin’s “anti-gay” stance, etc.??) This was all going on around the same time which Russia was voicing strong opposition to a full-scale U.S.-led invasion/bombing of Syria, which was eventually followed by all the drama going on to this day in Crimea, including a “mysteriously” downed passenger jet, bla bla bla.

So this quasi-revamped-“Cold War” narrative gets started up, very much simultaneous to the whole “ISIS is trying to take over the world in the name of Islamic extremism” narrative (which is just the reboot of the same narrative acted out under the names “Al Qaeda” and “Boko Haram” etc. You have to re-brand your CIA-asset terrorist organizations every so often, after all…) Hollywood isn’t the only propaganda industry to remake the same corny movies over and over again

So now, these two narratives, the rebooted Cold War and the rebooted “War on Terror”, are being increasingly combined into one big, massive, over-arching narrative designed to simply alienate and demonize anyone who would dare question the impeccable truth-telling record of the White House or the Pentagon.

And hey, sorry to get all “crazy conspiratorial” once again, but I really am just having the hardest time swallowing the sludge of irony, when these kind of slander-them-into-silence tactics are being laid on so thick at the very same time that all these massive military drills and exercises, (which seem to be preparing for responding to a massive invasion, or massive civil unrest, or both) are being planned for the rest of the year, or already taking place, prompting people to compare it to allusions to the “Red Dawn Scenario”.

States in the “Jade Helm region”, such as California, are seeing national guardsmen marching through neighborhoods, while soldiers take turns practicing blocking traffic

Other drills such as CJOAX and CERTEX apparently involve things “active shooter drills” with MRAPS at a Middle School, or British paratroopers invading Fort Bragg(!?)

But don’t worry. Please return to your regularly scheduled program. Pay no attention to the men with military-grade hardware rehearsing the removal and detention of ordinary citizens. Stop listening to all that Russian propaganda which is telling you that is some ridiculous “conspiracy” behind everything…

Yes… That would be so nice. If this horrible B-movie would finally just end, and the credits936full-red-dawn-poster would roll, and I could just turn off the tube and go outside and play.

Unfortunately, my esteemed superiors conducting congressional hearings, it wasn’t RT or “Russian propaganda” which caused me to finally wake up from my catatonic state and realize that so much of what I had previously assumed to be true was made up of so many layers of pitiful, shameful lies.

I think it had much more to do with how they blew up those buildings in New York and then tried to blame it all on some guy hiding out in caves… 😉

5 Reasons That Snowden Is Probably A PsyOp…

snowdenpsyop
1. If he were a real whistleblower, leaking super-secret classified documents and agendas that posed an existential threat to the tyrannical powers, he would simply be dead.

Typically, honest-to-goodness whistleblowers have a tendency of suddenly committing “suicide”, (often inflicting damage upon themselves that would be quite difficult for a person to do themselves, such as multiple shots to the head). If you think Western intelligence agencies wouldn’t have been able to get to him in a Hong Kong airport, or even “hiding” in Russia, then I hate to burst your bubble…

2. The mainstream media is completely controlled by the very powers that Snowden is purportedly unmasking.

How many people know such names as Gary Webb or Bill Cooper? Yet Snowden is a household name, on the cover of Time magazine, WIRED, etc., a veritable celebrity, receiving interviews and coverage from all kinds of conglomerate news agencies. These networks simply do not report on stories/people without it being a part of the designed narrative. If persons/topics are not a part of that narrative, they are simply ignored and quickly slip away from the short-term memory of the general public. Instead of doing this, we see Snowden being cleared kept in the forefront of the American psyche.

3. Snowden is known to have worked for the CIA.

This fact alone is enough to warrant serious skepticism, since it means that even if his actions have been in “good faith” on his own behalf, he could still very will be unknowingly being used as a asset by his former employers, who, let’s face it, tend to tabs on basically anyone they’ve dealt with at any given time as a potential intelligence asset down the road.

4. The NSA “panopticon” is ultimately a much more effective tool if everyone knows they are being “watched”.

Many people that the main purpose of domestic spying would be to simply find out who is “speaking out” against the deep state forces continually taking away liberties, and this is most certainly true in part, yet at present the reality is that there is simply SO much data going back and forth every day, it is not realistic for them to try and process all of it. (at least not yet, we think…) But, if people are afraid to say things, read things, share things, which might get them put on some kind of government watch list, then the “panopticon” indeed becomes an effective psychological weapon for shutting down open discuss and the free exchange of ideas amongst the citizenry. Thus, the motive for having a “controlled release” such as Snowden is not that difficult to surmise.

5. There are always multiple layers of control.

The more you learn about the true history of this nation, the Western World, and the machinations of the “cabal” in the midst of all of it, the more you realize that there are really far fewer things to have happened purely of their own accord than we are lead to believe. Things like the “counter-culture” and drug explosion of the 60’s which was followed by the “War on Drugs”, or the “color revolutions” of the Middle East which are credited to groundswells of youth activist uprisings using social media, are ultimately all “movements” which were in fact instigated and promoted by the military-industrial-intelligence-complex which saw them as means to their ultimate end. It is the same complex which has inexplicably not only let Snowden avoid “suicide” for several years now, but is instead constantly shoving microphones in his face.

wired_2209_coverOverall, I believe it’s more or less a simple matter of common sense. The controlled media is all about handing us prefabricated heroes. If you don’t like this guy on the “Right”, here’s someone from the “Left”. If you don’t like anyone from the Right OR the Left, and think the whole thing is rotten, well then here, here’s a prefabricated modern-day Pancho Villa complete with requisite glasses-wearing, computer-hactivist appearance. Pin your hopes on Snowden and the idea that a 20-somethingc420b978364bf16816825422d28dbe70 ex-CIA, ex-NSA guy, being made into an international figurehead through mainstream media, it going to the be key to bringing the whole corrupt system down. And look, now you can get on board and help spread the word by tweeting pics of the Snowden bust that was covertly erected in an act of “artistic protest” before those goons of the government took it down. Boo goons.

Sorry folks, but if something seems just a little too good to be true, then it usually is…

A City of Walls and Gates: Las Vegas Through the Eyes of Agenda 21

walls - CopyWhen most people hear the name “Las Vegas”, they of course instantly start thinking about the bright lights and over-the-top attractions of “the Strip”. A mirage of pleasure, it’s a place where people fly in from around the world to indulge virtually every hedonistic desire under the sun, (in air-conditioned comfort of course), in the middle of desert.

Start driving in any direction away from the Strip, however, and you start to see something quite different.

streets - CopyThe rest of the Vegas Valley is comprised of an endless array of streets lined with concrete walls, punctuated by iron gates, which every so often cross at strip-mall-adorned junctions. Honestly, if we were to somehow line up all the cinder blocks used to build the “fences” surrounding all the homes and businesses here in Las Vegas alone, it would no doubt circle the globe. This was perhaps the most difficult of all aspects of this city for me to get used to, and it admittedly remains something that I have still never been able to get comfortable with. After living here for almost two years now, I still can’t get over the feeling that what has essentially been constructed is a massive artificial edifice that makes one feel like a rat in a giant, sun-scorched maze.

For the first year, we actually lived in a gated-community, which, (unlike in the Pacific Northwest where such things are rather rare and typically only a part of country-club-type elite neighborhoods), are very much the norm here. It was a “nice” little development, nothing fancy or “upper-middle class” or anything, but it was truly a strange thing to try and get accustomed to, having to have a remote control on hand just to get access to our own house. Even to go out for a walk, you could only leave the enclosed neighborhood through one of two electrically-powered gates, one for cars, another for pedestrians. It honestly did make me feel incredibly claustrophobic after a while, all the houses being built ridiculously close together, so that you couldn’t even go out into your postage-stamp-sized yard without the windows of at least five other houses looking down on you.

Currently we are now living in a neighborhood without any gates, or neighbor’s houses that are less than five feet from our own, but this of course brings other challenges. We’ve had people steal things right out of our front and back yards, spray paint the side of our house, etc. So essentially you have to weigh the costs between either living like a rat in a cage, or feeling like you’re at the mercy of anyone who can physically get access to you or your stuff. Honestly, I still feel more at ease taking my chances with the “riff raff”, since the more I reflect upon the broader implications of just accepting this idea that “comfortable suburban living” is synonymous with living in a low-level prison, the less I seem to like it.

A9996359_origgenda 21” is a UN-backed, multi-pronged plan which on the surface claims to be aimed at creating “sustainable urban environments” which are hailed as some kind of utopian, environmentally-friendly idea of having cities where the populations are tightly-packed into dense areas in the middle, surrounded by “local agriculture” and pristine nature. The environmentalist aspect is really nothing more than a ruse however, while the tightly-packed-humanity aspect is the true end-goal.

The rather insidious goals of “agenda 21” were already something I was familiar with before moving here, but I suppose it wasn’t something I was able to imagine quite so vividly, when living in a place like Seattle, where even if the densest areas of urban sprawl you are still surrounded everywhere by pockets of “greenbelts”, and the notion of building vast stretches of grid-like housing developments is made near-impossible by the mountainous topography.

But here? I admit it’s really a very unsettling thing to consider, when you start to realize that the ENTIRE valley which the city sits in really only has around five major road-routes that connect it with the rest of the country. Seriously, it would only require a handful of roadblocks to effectively quarantine the entire population 245171381_Agenda2021207_answer_2_xlargewithin this little desert bowl, unless you were willing to try hiking your way out over a lot of empty dirt, and some pretty imposing mountains after that. So when I ponder things such as the possibility of martial law being declared, or more specifically, all this talk lately about military exercises such as “Jade Helm 15“, it’s not at all something I find myself scoffing at.

In the end, I guess the thing that I have been coming to realize more and more the last couple of years is that walls and gates always have two sides. They not only work to keep the “riff raff” out, but they can in fact just as easily be turned and used to keep YOU in, especially if some kind of “national emergency” were to happen, and suddenly everyone found themselves being treated like potential “riff raff” by the powers-that-be…

Big Sister is Watching You…?

helllo_barbie_nsa

Say hello to “Hello Barbie“, the world’s first fully interactive, Wi-Fi enabled doll. Not surprising that “privacy advocates” are up-in-arms over the fact that Mattel’s new release is equipped with a microphone which captures your children’s conversations and questions, pinging them back to the corporate “cloud” where servers process the information and send responses back to “Hello Barbie” to speak in response to your enamored child. Of course, reactions such as the found here on theverge.com only go so far as to be concerned about your basic “meta-data gathering”, as if the worst thing to ponder is simply another way that companies can track consumer data to give them an “unfair marketing advantage”.

I’d say they’ve already figured out that you’re probably in the market for female-geared children’s toys by the fact that you bought a Barbie doll in the first place. A doll with a microphone, installed voice-recognition software, and constant Wi-Fi connection (assuming it it’s batteries aren’t completely taken out) allows for oh so much more fun times for the creepy/pervy ears of the panopticon which are capable of dipping into EVERYTHING that makes it’s way into the nebulous “cloud”…bigbrotherbarbie

As if there wasn’t already enough reasons to hate Barbie, with her long-reviled standards of anorexic beauty, but now she’s really gone too far, whoring out her platinum-blonde coiffure to the domestic surveillance agenda. But hey, let’s not be too hasty in our condemnation. Perhaps the watchmen on the cyber-walls are simply hoping to catch some new terror-cell by matching the ringleader’s voiceprint, as his daughter plays blissfully in the corner. Who knows, maybe the next line of pedophile’s-dream Barbie could include a secret compartment hiding a tiny canister of tear gas, which could be deployed at just the right moment once the Feds have the terrorists surrounded.

Or maybe they should hold off, and put that particular upgrade in the “I-Can-See-You-In-Infrared Barbie”…

“Danger, Danger”: New Atheism, 9/11, and the Developing Political Climate…

1458“Monsters exist, but they are too few in number to be truly dangerous. More dangerous are the common men, the functionaries ready to believe and to act without asking questions.” ― Primo Levi

The past few weeks I have rather unexpectedly found myself engaged within a significant number of “discussions” with various atheist bloggers. I am typically not one to be turned off by rigorous debate, or even a fair amount of internet snark, as I know how prone I am to using it myself, but after a while, sigh….. It just gets downright exhausting. Then recently I find myself listening to Like Flint Radio, as the hosts are interviewing Graham Veale, author of the book, “New Atheism: A Survival Guide”.

Graham begins the interview with this synopsis of “New Atheism”:
After 9/11, New Atheism really came into it’s own with the book “the God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins, joined by the other “Horsemen” of Sam Harris, who wrote “Latter-Day Christian Nation”, American philosopher Daniel Dennet, and Christopher Hitchens, author of “God is not Great”.

They essentially believe that Faith is always irrational, that it’s always blind, that it always disregards reason and evidence, and therefore Faith is dangerous, because it can become fanaticism as easily as it can become Quakerism. So, faith is always blind, so faith is therefore dangerous, and really needs to be opposed, and if possible, eradicated. Not through violent means, as they would see this being achieved through education, but also through aggressive political action, which is why we see various court cases and such, and also through aggressive rhetoric, and the thinking being that because Faith is irrational, you cannot reason with religious people, so therefore what you have to do is mock and ridicule religious people, you have to make them feel the pressure, to make them feel that they need to change to be accepted by an educated society, and mainly this strategy is used to not only knock religious people off their stride, but make anyone who would consider becoming religious, step away from their religion, so it’s used to almost embarrass those people in the middle. And then finally there would be what I would call dogmatic scientism, which is a particular attitude towards science. So that would really characterize the “New Atheism”, the online communities, the attitude towards Faith, and this rhetorical strategy of using ridicule and mockery instead of rigorous argument… (mostly word for word there, bit of paraphrasing)

Let me just tell you, this describes the tone of almost every single exchange I have participated in recently to a tee. And honestly, I think it is this specific point about religion (particularly the evangelical Christian variety…) being “dangerous” which has really captivated me so, kept me jumping back into the fray. Maybe it’s because, if you spend any time at all perusing the typical topics I delve into here on the blog, you’ll see that I spend a GOOD deal of energy and time talking about “danger, danger!” myself. I too see 9/11 as a very real touchstone in the shift of thinking of our society as a whole. I too believe that blind allegiances and lack of cognitive examination are what sets us up for disastrous manifestations of totalitarianism down the road. I too find that false beliefs, in false narratives, can indeed be “dangerous”.

So oddly enough, there are actually a lot of commonalities, a lot of areas in which I can genuinely empathize with the “New Atheist”, although getting one to see this at all is no small feat. The fact that I believe in God or the Bible at all is grounds to immediately chide me as being “indoctrinated” and “brainwashed”, (which I find hilariously ironic as they themselves parrot sayings and slanderings from the mouth of their Prophet-of-New-Atheism Richard Dawkins. But no matter..) In any case, the fact that my own perceptions and views on things like institutional religion, or using political avenues to “influence the morality of the culture”, do not fit their pre-configured stereotypes AT ALL, doesn’t seem to make much difference. They are convinced. I, am “dangerous”. 🙂

And so as this theme continues to repeatedly float to the surface in the course of these debates, I almost feel myself being compelled to FIRST formulate a staunch apologetic as to why this assumption/assertion is patently, demonstrably FALSE. I am no danger to you, as an Atheist. (nor as a Buddhist, or a Muslim, or a Wiccan, or whatever else you might be/not be…) What to me is also quite worthy of noting, is that YOU are not viewed as a danger to ME! I do not believe in fighting some “culture war”. I do not believe in trying to pass laws to tell you what kind of sex is right or wrong. I do not believe, at all, in trying to preserve even a hint of some “Christian heritage of America”. I really don’t. For every “new Atheist” I have spent time76938104797169bd3b9b12deb43406b7 with, (trying to at least demonstrate that Faith in God IS in fact something that many people DO arrive at after years of questioning, research, contemplation, and religious criticism), I spend probably twice as much engaging with fellow Christians, pointing out, again and again, that indeed the things taught by Jesus and every one of His followers in the Bible in fact do not square up with the Ameri-centric, wave-the-Flag, fight-the-Commies, bomb-the-Terrorists, support-Israel-no-matter-how-many-innocents-they-kill, “God, Guns and Gold” narrative.

For generations now, Christians HAVE indeed been guilty of giving allegiance to a host of agendas which in the end have now become the fuel for the New Atheism fire. It makes it quite easy for a guy like Dawkins or Hitchens to come along, and declare that belief in God is tantamount to being clinically insane and that such beliefs really are what provide the impetus for things like perpetual war and American neo-colonialism. (Neo-wha…? Colonialism? Today? Indeed, most American Christians still scoff at this, oblivious…)

There is so much sad irony in all of this, all these different confused and twisted plot lines, all tangled up together like the huge ball of Christmas lights Clark Griswold pulls out of his garage…

The “Evangelicals” of America, having been convinced over the past decades to relegate themselves to being no more than just another voting block instead being salt and light as the Body of Christ, have helped write significant chapters of this religion-fosters-division-and-hostility narrative, sold by New Atheism, by doing things like rally around the “conservative Christian” George W. Bush, buying up his book during his first Presidential bid and hailing his “testimony” as proof-positive that he was going to get into that oval office and “bring Christian values back to America”…

That, as we all know, is not at all what happened…

“Born-again-Bonesman Bush” just happens to be the one at the helm when “ex”-CIA asset Bin Laden (whose family is also long-time friends of the Bushes…) finally decides to penetrate the most heavily armed and guarded military power ever to have existed in world history, using less than a dozen coke-sniffing student-pilots who navigate passenger aircraft (which they’ve never flown before) with stunning, limit-pushing maneuvers into World Trade Center complex buildings, whose security was provided by Securacom, where the POTUS’s little brother Marvin P. Bush, just so happened to be a principal owner. (There were sure a lot of those “just-so-happened’s on 9/11, weren’t there..?)

Drone11111111-156150-165663-166189-172588-640x480So instead of some “return to Christian values”, the son of pedophile-partying, Bohemian-grooving, Central-intelligencing Daddy-Bush only brought us further down the path towards the Luciferian “New Atlantis” rather than the Garden of Eden, complete with Draconian legislation such as the Patriot Act, invasions of multiple sovereign nations under false premises, drones which now fly around the entire globe striking targets without repercussion, and, oh yes, the NSA is now admittedly recording everything you say online, everywhere you go, everything you buy, etc., and storing it all in some idiotically massive database somewhere in Utah or Maryland or wherever else…cops3

So, yes, my friends from the “New Atheism” movement, you are not altogether incorrect in ascribing a certain label of “dangerous” towards certain segments of people with a “religious persuasion”. There are a good many points where I will be amongst the first to stand up beside you and denounce the use of “Faith-based patriotic fervor” to propel one political agenda or another. At the same time, however, I will say that you as well need to be willing to stop, and look deeper into the “subtle nuances” between the alleged “danger” of the family down the street who prays before every meal and thanks God or their food, and the REAL dangers of men and women in positions of extreme power, whose “religion” in fact involves the precise OPPOSITE of what Jesus of Nazareth taught.  The Constitution has all but been put through the shredder, but you don’t realize that this is not the work of those darned “fundamentalist Christians”!   These other folks, (many of whom parade and pose as “Christians” in the daytime…) however, do not believe in “turning the other cheek”, or “loving your neighbor as yourself”. They DO believe in a manifestation of “Evolution” as well, but when you start to actually look at it through their Lucierian, globalist lens, you will start to realize that in fact they see YOU and I as equally being the mosquito, while they are the T-Rex.

If you want to understand who and what the REAL “dangerous” believers are, you need to look a little further than the explanations already pre-packaged for you by guys like Richard Dawkins, do a full investigation of the matter on your OWN, and eventually realize that this demonization of Christians (which is really who is primarily meant by the term “religion”) is in fact part of a larger agenda being pushed by people who believe in the “nonsensical magic” you constantly mock and despise! Get acquainted with their “god”, their creeds, their rituals, and perhaps you might start to think the little church down the street, where everything they believe and do is all open for all to see, ain’t that bad or “oppressive” after all.
bohemiangrover_toyset__span
The irony is, “New Atheism” mirrors precisely the same hatred for God that the ancient, gnostic narrative has always held, elevates man to the same position of seeking divinity for himself, puts the same faith in our own ability to become masters of our own universe. It essentially IS Gnosticism, only on the level that it doesn’t even recognize it’s own origins. Like some introductory level of a “mystery school”, they are still in the stage of holding firmly to the tenets of scientific materialism. Eventually, this adherence to materialism is left behind (if you are so “initiated”), while the “dogmatic scientism” remains, only to be re-applied towards a broader scope of natural and mystical reality. All wizards consider themselves “scientists”, after all, and all are very much striving to Evolve in every sense of the word. Ask yourself, do you really want to be the unsuspecting dupe of propaganda being applied by people who embrace belief in the very spiritual realm you find laughable?

When one puts achieving god-hood at the center of their purpose in life, then there becomes no dark path they will not be willing to follow to achieve it, for who, in the end, is going to stop them, or judge them, when all is said and done, if they are the ones sitting on the throne…?

If Dr. Seuss spoke Stranger Truth…

tripleslingjiggerEach morning as I wake up I turn on my TV set
To see if the daily dose of terrorism’s happened yet

A habit most unusual I guess I must agree
wondering if today’s the day they’ll finally kick off World War Three

or if the DOW will plummet to the basement like a rock
sending global markets reeling and economies to shock

If you ask me how I came to such a cynical perspective
Then just humor me a moment while I get a bit reflective

The world we know today did not just suddenly turn sour
the problems going on right now began way back in that first hour

When fruits forbidden tasted sweet but led to an eviction
and serpent seeds were planted in the garden’s dereliction

Thus through the many centuries which followed this in time
were gods, who were not gods, yet being worshipped in their prime

Teaching men so many things of which they surely ought not know
False histories, dark mysteries, all coming from below

And so this tragic partnership endured down through the ages
Secrets guarded jealously by mystics, cults and sages

On to this very hour now in which we all are living
This quest to turn men into gods, it’s dead gifts keep on giving

So this is why we all can look around and plainly see
a planet quite beset with copious iniquity

The rivers flow with toxins and the oceans foam with bane
the soil is radioactive and there’s acid in the rain

The atmosphere is criss-crossed after jets going flying by
(but I swear there never used to be plaid clouds up in the sky)

The factory foods don’t even breakdown in your stomach’s bile
and there’s chemicals in water just to polish up your smile

plus injections, pills a plenty, good for all your sniffs and sneezes
only problem is the cure is often worse than the diseases

Yet allopathic medicine is only just the start
warfare treats the deaths of millions as almost a form of art

17o8hdxg9niabjpgFirst there came the Nazis and the fascists and the Japs
all united in their zealous drive to wipe us off their maps

after that the Commies suddenly became endowed
with the power to destroy us in a massive mushroom cloud

As decades passed both arsenals increasingly inflated
as Hollywood made sure to keep the Soviets all hated

And after we all thought atomic doom’s specter had lifted
A morning in September forced our gazes to be shifted

this time to Arab enemies all hiding in their caves
who now must all be bombed into their dirty mountain graves

and so it is that Evil’s Axis constantly is turning
lest the Pentagon’s war engines all seize up and stop their churning

So many things were set in motion on that fateful day
when three steel towers fell as though made of paper mache

Each year now since, it so would seem, that flags keep flying falsely
events designed no doubt to increase our collective palsy

the next in line was Syria, invade them in their crisis
they called for war, at which we balked, and now, look, here comes ISIS…

knottyproblemBut could it be?  The very thought…  Our own leaders implicated?
Just pause my friend and please consider all they’ve now dictated

Greener lights for budgets black, when safety is the goal
airport fondlers have to search for “contraband-in-hole”

the cops now look like soldiers, and our soldiers are the best
if you don’t cower as expected then you do deserve arrest

The NSA is listening, always digitally aware
Everything you’ve ever done online in data files, somewhere…

But it gets even weirder, as you looks behind the scenes
and study harder these elites who say the ends warrant the means

If it’s just a bunch of rich folks wanting to be richer still
then why these other strange pursuits which go beyond that bill?

Why do they pray to owls of stone and act out divinations?
Why frolic where the Redwoods hide their sordid recreations…?

Why do so many men of stature, prominence and brass?
All hail from the same frat house where a skull’s a drinking glass?

And please would someone tell me what exactly’s going on
with that phalus made of stone shadowing the White House lawn…

Our holy-days all point to ancient pagan gods of old
and our favorite ritual now is one we call the “Super Bowl”

But if you’re getting weary of my ugly rants and rambles
and get tempted to believe that I think all the world’s a shambles

I’ll end by saying even though this all is sad but true
to realize that everything’s under demonic coup

It might be nasty as we look around us in this day
but there WILL come a moment when at last, with no delay

as just when it might seem that no real Faith could still be found
He’ll come as lightning fills the sky, and heaven’s mighty trumpets sound….

Ron Paul: “We now live in a police state”…

Former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul says our entire system has been “based on lies and ignorance.”

“If Americans were honest with themselves they would acknowledge that the Republic is no more. We now live in a police state. If we do not recognize and resist this development, freedom and prosperity for all Americans will continue to deteriorate. All liberties in America today are under siege.

It didn’t happen overnight. It took many years of neglect for our liberties to be given away so casually for a promise of security from the politicians. The tragic part is that the more security was promised — physical and economic — the less liberty was protected.

With cradle-to-grave welfare protecting all citizens from any mistakes and a perpetual global war on terrorism, which a majority of Americans were convinced was absolutely necessary for our survival, our security and prosperity has been sacrificed.

It was all based on lies and ignorance. Many came to believe that their best interests were served by giving up a little freedom now and then to gain a better life.”

Upping the Ante…

B6vqW0yCQAEbVGkAs James Corbett recently said, you can’t always assume that every act of terrorism is automatically a false flag, but in the case of today’s attack in Paris, I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet.

It would seem that this latest event does break some “new ground” in the agenda to press the threat of global terrorism, in that for possibly the first time, we have now been able to see the actual hooded villains running through the streets and gunning down the innocent, putting a more personal and frightening spin on the event of mass killings, which some might argue has almost stated to become mundane in the minds of people in the last few years.

Now, we get to actually SEE the likes of the masked ISIS killers in our own Western backyard. Whether or not they will eventually be linked to ISIS, or to some other group, or just a handful of “lone wolf” Islamic extremists is really immaterial, since it will serve the broader agenda regardless, and Kerry has already described the event as being an “attack against Civilization”. That’s how the War on Terror is being framed now. Those thugs are attacking all of us in the “civilized world” because they hate Civilization itself. And lo and behold, this kind of new attack which combines previous elements of blatantly Islamic militancy with other former instances of non-religious “lone wolf” mass shooter events, really takes the cake in creating just the type of thing which mandates the very militarized police presence that is being put into place. We need armies of cops in full body armor, riding around in armored trucks you see, because you never know when a squad of military-trained Islamic extremists might pull up and gun down journalists, police and civilians…

This is indeed an ominous sign, yet unfortunately I think we have to say that it is precisely what we should be expecting to see…

Breathing…

breathing

It’s a bit of an unavoidable necessity.

So now as we watch the “Ferguson situation” turning out to be what looks like only the first phase of a much larger unfolding dynamic, I find myself increasingly unable to avoid reacting emotionally to what is taking place. If you can watch the video of Eric Garner being choked to death, and not feel disturbed on some deep, instinctual level, then maybe the “salute our heroes” propaganda really has done it’s it job in brainwashing you into complete subservience, or maybe you are really just a racist. Who knows. If it doesn’t disturb you, then I find that in itself to be disturbing…

I have been writing about issues of martial law for a few years now (off and on), and yet lately, I admit it has been a somewhat difficult and surreal experience to be in that place of feeling like “Man…. Now that I’m seeing it, I really do wish I had been wrong about all this…”

The whole matter of martial law and “crowd control” and military style policing is a rather complex one, and one that I personally got to get a small taste of back in 1999. When I was going to art school in Seattle, a little thing called the “World Trade Organization” came to town, and a bunch of people were apparently very unhappy with those business leaders and politicians who claimed they were only trying to assist the “global economy”, and the protestors were intent on storming the convention center and shutting the whole thing down. Being a young, naïve student at the time, what else was there to do but go to where all the action was and “check it out”…?

I stood in front of the line of armored soldiers policemen and took pictures.  I listened to the protesters chant and sing and watched them cement their arms together in a circle.  I saw the windows broken and cop cars spray painted with Anarchy symbols.  I stumbled into an intersection with a few dozen other people, blocking traffic, as we choked on the tear gas and tried to blink the foul substance out of our eyes…

All this was nothing, however, compared to what another student at the same art school would go through, a student and friend of mine who would later become my wife. 🙂 She walked out of her apartment one afternoon, about five days into all the protests, only to find herself being rounded up with a group of protesters who had been corralled down her street. She was forced to sit down on the pavement and have her hands zip-tied, and then spent 12 hours on a bus filled with people all sharing one bucket for a bathroom, before they finally decided where to take them all for processing. She spent 6 days in jail, for walking down the street, in her own neighborhood, but hey, there were Starbuck’s getting their windows smashed, so desperate times call for desperate measures…

The most telling anecdote from that particular “adventure” I’d say, was actually in noting how everyone I knew (who lived over in peaceful suburbia, far from the hubbub and chaos) refused to believe that the police would actually have arrested people without just cause. They’d say things like, “Well, she shouldn’t have been in that area at the time”. It’s almost funny to see how easily modern people can turn a blind eye to excessive force and find a way to rationalize martial law when their lattes are in jeopardy.

And it was martial law, it really was, at least for a few, brief days before the WTO conference was finally over. After my wife had been arrested, I was driving a couple of us around in the city, trying to figure out which jail she had been booked into, and a curfew had been put into effect by that point. The National Guard had been brought it, and as I drove down the streets of Seattle that night, it was one of the eeriest moments in my life. The streets were completely deserted, except for every other street corner where Humvee’s were parked, and 2 or 3 Guardsmen stood milling around, guns in hand. It was a foggy night, and in the orange haze of the streetlights, it felt like something straight out of some dark dystopian movie, but it was absolutely real.

Anyways, if I hadn’t gone through all of that years back, I don’t know if I would have quite the same perspective as I do now. It’s hard to explain in words what it feels like to actually be in the situation of being forced to submit, ordered to disperse, commanded to obey, simply because the other human is wearing a uniform, and you are not. Some people say this whole thing isn’t about race, and that’s true, to a degree, in that this militarized police presence is being effected on every one of us. But at the same time, if you aren’t white-skinned, then you are a lot more likely to have first hand knowledge of what I just described. Black people and minorities get targeted and harassed and arrested disproportionately than whites. It’s a fact. The rage and angst isn’t imagined. The video of Garner choking and dying as a mob of cops jump on him is truly sickening.

We live in a country where you can hardly go five minutes without hearing some commercial or propaganda piece egging us on to thank the “troops” for going overseas and “fightin’ for our freedom”. Yet somehow we look at the ever-increasing amount of “troops” being pointed directly at us, and don’t seem to think there’s reason for alarm!

Apparently “freedom” doesn’t necessarily include the Right to Breathe. You would think that it would…
