The Four-Cornered Earth…?

“And He will lift up a standard for the nations And assemble the banished ones of Israel, And will gather the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.” Isaiah 11:12

One of the most interesting aspects of considering the staggering possibility of the Earth truly being a flat plane, is the notion that is that the “ends of the Earth” is no longer simply just some kind of figurative expression, but could in fact could be a simple literal truth. Along with this idea comes the proposition of the “four cardinal points” being four literal, equidistant terminal locations, as well as these four corners/points being connected to the four winds, and four angels.

“Then He said to me, ‘Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.’” – Ezekiel 37:9

“And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”- Matthew 24:31

Revelation 7:1
After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.

Revelation 20:8
and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.

Marble_Mosaic_Wind_Rose_with_cardinal_points.jpg_220x220The verse from Revelation 7 I find particularly interesting, because of the fact that it describes the four angels in conjunction with the four corners, holding back the four winds, which is a rather bizarre thing indeed to try and imagine just what that means, or how that would really look/work, if the Earth was a globe. If the four corners are simply metaphorical (since a ball has no literal corners) then are the angels simply metaphorical too…? Bit of a slippery slope there, if you ask me. Biblical scholars go to extreme lengths in order to explain how the four corners is not literal, and just means the “extreme ends of the Earth”. But if you think about it, on a Globe Earth, you don’t even have “extreme ends”. You have nothing from which to objectively call anything an “extremity”, aside from cultural notions of one’s particular region being towards the “center” (i.e. the Roman Empire, the Middle East, whatever…)

Now… Much like the very interesting parallels between the thematic content of Jude and Peter in relation to the book of Enoch, there are some incredibly noteworthy connections to be found between Revelation and Enoch as well, when it comes to the idea of corners, angels, and winds…

“I then surveyed the receptacles of all the winds, perceiving that they contributed to adorn the whole creation, and to preserve the foundation of the earth. I surveyed the stone which supports the corners of the earth. I also beheld the four winds, which bear up the earth, and the firmament of heaven. And I beheld the winds occupying the exalted sky. Arising in the midst of heaven and of earth, and constituting the pillars of heaven. I saw the inds which turn the sky, which cause the orb of the sun and of all the stars to set; and over the earth I saw the winds which support the clouds. I saw the path of the angels.” Enoch 18:1-7

“And at the extremities of the earth I beheld twelve gates open for all the winds, from which they proceed and blow over the earth. Three of them are open in the front of heaven, three in the west, three on the right side of heaven, and three on the left. The first three are those which are towards the east, three are towards the north, three behind those which are upon the left, towards the south, and three on the west. From four of them proceed winds of blessing, and of health; and from eight proceed winds of punishment; when they are sent to destroy the earth, and the heaven above it, all its inhabitants, and all which are in the waters, or on dry land.” Book of Enoch, chapter 75:1-3

“The first wind is called the eastern, because it is the first. The second is called the south, because the Most High there descends, and frequently there descends he who is blessed for ever. The western wind has the name of diminution, because there all the luminaries of heaven are diminished, and descend. The fourth wind, which is named the north, is divided into three parts; one of which is for the habitation of man; another for seas of water, with valleys, woods, rivers, shady places, and snow; and the third part contains paradise.” Enoch, chapter 76:1-4

The more I look into this topic of “Enochian cosmology”, the more pressed I feel towards the ultimate question of “Is Enochian cosmology really just Biblical cosmology, which has not been hammered into conforming to an assortment of materialistic, heliocentric concepts which have bombarded Biblical scholars for centuries, all of which culminates in the post-modern, completely allegorized form of Biblical interpretation that is so prevalent today?” I think more and more I am becoming convinced that the answer is a simple yes.

Pencil drawing I made of a slightly abstracted depiction of the flat earth, within the Firmament, surrounded by “the waters” above and below, and pondering the existence of corners, portals, winds, cardinal points existing somehow, in a quite literal sense…

“Lightning Storm”…

“It is He who made the earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom; And by His understanding He has stretched out the heavens. When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, And He causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain, And brings out the wind from His storehouses.” – Jeremiah 10:12-13

Driving home the other night, a storm had blown into the valley, and suddenly the sky was all alight with awe-inspiring tendrils of electricity. The lightning storms here are quite a thing to behold. Tried to capture the split-second moment in a sketch the following day.

“Where’d you go…?”

I have been asked this many times over the last month or so, and it is admittedly my own fault.  I had some technical problems with the old blog.  Then I just shut it down.  Then I moved it.  Then I just, stopped.  It turned into an unanticipated yet much-needed break.  Not so much because writing itself is so “exhausting” or anything, but, I suppose because of the nature of the “research” I tend to gravitate towards, the truth is that it really does tend to over-saturate your thinking after a while, to the point where you almost don’t even remember how to have a “regular” conversation with people anymore, or just enjoy the simplest of life’s pleasures, or even enjoying and appreciating the company of my own family…

There have been certain days during this impromptu hiatus where I was honestly a tad depressed, feeling like all this attention and commentary and such on how the world at large is spinning out of control, is really just largely inconsequential anyhow.  Like, when you just completely stop writing, reading, thinking about it, just completely unplug, maybe you start to wonder how much of all that activity was just a way of trying to cope with a myriad of things which are all outside of our ability to do anything about it anyhow.  Some slightly over-inflated sense of one’s own involvement in it all.  It’s a weird world, a strange society in which we all live, where billions of us are now constantly posting things, tweeting things, sharing things, ad nauseam, as if we all believe our insights on things are really oh so profound…

I am not necessarily attempting to defend these kinds of sentiments now, but I suppose I’m just giving a little window into the kind of cynicism which can quite unexpectedly wash over my perspective from time to time.

And so, it seems that this question of where lies the fine line between a truly cynical, defeatist perspective, and an outlook on things which is genuinely just trying to be a courageously honest, discerning, and Biblically-sound one, is a question that most likely myself (and many others) will never be able to fully shake ourselves free from. Balance, after all, is something one must constantly keep consciously striving for, in order to maintain it.

So, yeah… I didn’t go anywhere. Still here. And so is the crazy stuff on this crazy, spinning orb. I actually like not having my days being filled with questions over what exactly is going on with the Walmarts and Jade Helm, etc., or whether or not CERN is some kind of interdimensional portal to the nether world, or whether the recent shooter in S.C. was another MK Ultra-esque tool of the Elite’s agenda. It all keeps on unfolding according to the same “script” anyhow, whether I’m frantically trying to keep up with every little development or not. Right?

I got a few books from the library the other day. Actual, paper-bound books. Has it really been so long since I read something where I had to turn a physical page? Bizarre… I have been pushing myself to start drawing/painting again as well (as opposed to just manipulating things via photoshop…) There is something almost indescribably pleasing to the internal, primal need for creation about the act of making marks on paper with one’s bare hands. But it does require a bit more effort and patience of course, and as such I am finding that it helps pull one’s psyche back away from the frantic/scrambled neural habits formed by hours of computer usage. Back towards what I think I would defend as a much more intended way of functioning as humans, with the ability to reflect and focus on something for a longer period of time, even if that thing isn’t terribly impressive or complex in and of itself. Even painting a wall or a room a single color can be surprisingly satisfying I have found, because you did it with your own hands, and the entire experience involved no RGB light assaulting your retinas…

Anyhow. The picture above is one I did a couple of afternoons ago, inspired by the desert slopes of Sunrise Mountain, the view of which fills our front window.

Transcendensity…

archangelblurred2This is what posts sound like when written on very, very little sleep.  Seeking to transcend my own body’s somnial needs right now.  Been pretty busy on the homefront lately.  So much is happening in the big wide world right now, Uncle Ben just spoke to Congress, causing quite an uproar apparently, Kent Hovind is set to begin his new trial in a couple of days, the DHS is the latest government uber-structure being used to goad the public into deeper debt, and I’m too out of it to even remember what day of the week it is, let alone provide anything read-worthy of current events.

To the left is a little piece I made many years ago, one of several which I created long before I had any ever heard of things like Nephilim or transhumanism or fallen angels overseeing a technological attempt at usurping God’s throne, yet it’s strange how much I was seemingly drawn to certain concepts before ever having much of an idea as to why. Funny enough, the critics might say that this would suggest that perhaps my beliefs in them now is merely the extrapolation of early, inner desires to believe in the scientastic (I think I just made up that word, writing when you’re beyond exhausted is kind of cool…), but, this is not true.

There are still, many, many days where I simply want to wake up, fry the eggs, scrub the dishes, go through my checklist, and just make it to the end of the day when I get to have a beer and watch some mind-numbing, alpha-wave-inducing tele-picture-box. But even the glowy-box doesn’t lend itself to comatosis the way it used to. The other day I was watching this funny little cartoon with my son called “Clarence”, and right towards the end, Clarence finds himself the only kid in his school not being mind-controlled by the corporate-funded cafeteria food, and he saves his classmates by bursting in on a Eyes-Wide-Shut-type of Illuminati ritual (well, minus the orgy). Alas. Cartoons used to basically be comprised of one animated animal trying to catch another one, over and over again, and failing every time in slapstick glory.

Some people meditate in order to try and transcend the “illusory” world around them, and by this, they don’t mean the matrix of lies and propaganda being thrown at us everywhere we turn, they simply mean the world. All of it. Even their own self, their own conscious awareness of even existing as anything distinct from everything else. I suppose this sounds nice, in a way, sort of like being a baby in the womb I suppose. But then again, no. No it does not. That sounds like being a vegetable to me…

Other people want to transcend the grind of humanity by technological upgrades, Johnny-Depp style. Become a cyborg. Become an uploaded algorithm of all your memories in a computer. Better yet, become a mix of both, like the villain in the upcoming transhumanist propaganda piece, Avengers 2. Again, this does not seem terribly transcendent to me either, simply a more metallic form of vegetable…

No… I know that we are called do a very different kind of transcending. In the midst of the drudgery of paying bills, folding laundry, making your kids eat the vegetables (not the tranced-out meditators, the green plant variety), and watching the world fall apart just a tiny bit more every time we get a glance at it, we are called, to Rejoice. Always.

“Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Lady Serpentine…

ladyserpentineSketched this out a few days ago.  For other examples of some work I’ve done, you can check out my online portfolio here.

I am “launching” a simple graphic design brand with the intentions of using my artistic endeavors towards helping spread the Truth in whatever simple, pro bono ways that I can.  I am not attempting to make money in this, however I would simply ask that none of the images be used without consent.  Thank you very much.

If anyone is looking to get some assistance with design/graphic/layout/whatever work, let me know and I’ll see what I might be able to do for ya…
